Drinking Water Solutions is proud to be a distributor of an exciting line of next generation media technologies that will revolutionize the water treatment industry and improve the world we live in for generations to come.
Our manufacturer is introducing molecular media technology to the water treatment industry. Molecular media technology is designed to replace conventional media and allow domestic, commercial, industrial and public water treatment companies to create more efficient, lower cost and environmentally friendly treatment systems.
Ordered structures of atoms lead to the production of certain materials. This basic structure is also known as a template. For example, black graphite and clear diamonds are both carbon. The only difference is the atomic structure of the carbon atoms. It is possible to create a template in such a way that it creates a desired product. The basic template consisting of only a few atoms is two-dimensional. The final product is three-dimensional. Our molecular technology is not to be confused with chemical reactions where new chemical bonds are created, or the redox process that uses up. Our water conditioning media is not self-sacrificing and does not add or take anything from the water.
Using this technology we are able to create a certain atom structure (template), which leads to the creation of crystals. The first successful molecular technology media developed is a replacement for traditional water softeners. Our media has a nano surface with ordered atoms creating a template. With a contact time of less than 3 seconds calcium crystals are formed from the dissolved calcium. The result is 100% scale prevention.
The second product is a media for the removal of iron up to 35 ppm. Also on this media the surface includes atoms ordered in a special way, creating a catalytic effect. The dissolved iron is transformed into a solid, which can then easily be trapped in a filter bed.
For the removal of arsenic we use adsorption medias consisting of ferro hydroxide or titanium. Arsenic appears in parts per billion, this amount is so small that an adsorption media is better suited. The principles of this technology open exciting horizons of possibilities in water treatment, and these products are only a small fraction of the range of applications of this technology.
In the past 20 years, we have seen the water industry go through some rapid changes as demand for clean water has increased and adequate water sources are becoming scarce. New technologies are meeting the challenges of todays water industry, such as demand growth from all corners of the world and diminishing sources of adequate feed water, by providing affordable technology and lowering capital costs. We are pleased to offer the leading edge of next generation media technology research and development.Contact Us for more information.

ETW s SP (Scale protect) is a catalytically working filter media and has been developed to remove first the already existing scale from pipes and heat exchanger surfaces (Descaling effect) and further on to protect the system from the future formation of scale (Scale protection effect)
SP is based on a completely new technology. In this process atoms are placed in a special structure so that an active surface is created. This technology is so effective that it requires a contact time of only seconds
The media is used in an up flow system, therefore only an in-out valve is needed. The media transforms the dissolved calcium carbonate (temporary hardness) into non-charged, neutral chemical bonds.
These bonds are completely stable and cannot attach to any surfaces. The chemical bonds are rinsed away by the water flow. The size of the bonds is so small (in the range of nano-meter) that they can only be seen with a micros cope. Therefore the effect is the same as if the water was free of temporary hardness (calcium carbonate). The crystals are heat
resistant and do not fall apart.
The media is used to clean pipes from already existing scale and to protect pipes and hardware from scale. Test with commercial coffee machines showed that those with Hardness Stabilizer protection were much cleaner after a short time of use than the control systems which were cleaned monthly.
SP works great in front of RO membranes. It keeps these membranes from clogging with calcium-carbonate. A Pre-existing membrane s efficiency is improved after only 10 days if calcium carbonate was the reason for the blocking.

Filtersorb IR is based on a new technology. In this process the chemical structure of iron in the water is changed. This technology is so effective that it requires a contact time of only seconds.
The media must be used in a downflow system. The iron ions are oxidized in seconds and trapped in the underbed. The underbed must be ba
ckwashed with regular well water without any chemicals or salt.
For water usage of up to 1000 gal/day, a single tank system is sufficient. A two tank system is necessary for water usage above 1000 gal/day. The first tank contains the Filtersorb IR Iron Removal Media and the second tank contains an underbed.
The IR Iron Removal media is very sufficient. For example, a residential application with a service flow of 10 gpm and a peak flow of 15 gpm requires only 1/7 cu. Ft. of media in a 10 diameter tank.

Up to 9 Gallons per minute $4,995
Commerical Applications
- New Systems

The maximum 50 PPB of arsenic in drinking water will be reduced to 10 PPB in 2006 by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, because of negative health effects. Arsenic enters the drinking water supply through pollution caused by industries and also occurs naturally.
ETW s ASR is a ferro hydroxide based arsenic adsorption media. It treats Arsenic III and V. The special production and drying procedure of the granulate makes it very robust and stable.
The media does not require backwashing, but it should be lifted periodically to avoid channeling. The media will not give any color or iron to the water. The night porosity allows for a large adsorption capacity. The adsorbed arsenic is transformed according to the following formula: Fe(OH)3 +H3As04 + 3 H20.
Even after the disposal of old media, no arsenic can be released into the environment. This product is very environmentally friendly and super economical.
Due to the high affectivity and competitive pricing of the media, its perfect for large industrial and commercial applications. The media doesn t require backwashing, but it should be lifted periodically to avoid channeling

ETW s HSR Hydrogen Sulfied (Sulphur-Smell) removal is the most effective media for the reduction of hydrogen sulfide from water supplies. HSR Hydrogen Sulfied (Sulphur-Smell) removal can reliably remove Hydrogen Sulfide up to 25 ppm.
Unlike other medias, there are very few restrictions to the applications of the HSR Hydrogen Sulfied (Sulphur-Smell) removal media. Low oxygen levels, interfering ion and pH have no significant effect on the performance of the HR Hydrogen Sulfied (Sulphur-Smell) removal media.
The media is very light and requires no regeneration, only backwashing. The advantage of this media is the short contact time and the small amount of media needed. The hydrogen sulfide is reduced catalytically to an insoluble sulfur precipitate. These precipitates create particles up to 0.1 to 1.0 mm, depending on the amount of hydrogen sulfide present in the water. The precipitates are tapped in the underbed and easily removed during backwashing. We recommend a short
backwash daily or every two days depending on the amount of hydrogen sulfide and water usage. Backwashing occurs with regular well water.
The Hydrogen Sulfied (Sulphur-Smell) removal media is very efficient. For example a residential application with a service flow of 10 gpm and a peak
flow of 15 gpm requires only 15 lbs of media in a 10 diameter tank.
